We’ve Moved!

outside the new church building

Join us for our first service on July 2 at 9:30 am. Our new address is 5619 Monte Vista Street, Los Angeles 90042. We will be located on the campus of All Saints Episcopal Church.

Where is the new location?

Our new worship space is located on Monte Vista Street between N Ave 56 and N Ave 57. It is easily accessible via the Gold Line. The Highland Park Station is only about one block away at Marmion Way and N Ave 58. When Church of the Resurrection was first planted, the vision of the founding rectors was to be located on the Gold Line and to plant churches along this train route. We are excited to be back near the Gold Line in a return to the early roots of our church. Click here for directions.

Where do I park?

Ample on-street parking is available. There is also a small gravel lot located near the corner of N Avenue 56 and Ash Street. We’d like to reserve these spots for parishioners with any mobility issues, as well as for parents with small children.

What should I know about the new location?

We will have access to three main spaces on the church property, the Sanctuary, the Parish House, and the Fellowship Hall. Sunday worship and midweek services will take place in the Sanctuary, which we will share with our host church, All Saints Episcopal Church. Occasional large gatherings, like the Christmastide Party, lunches, and receptions, will take place in the Fellowship Hall. The Fellowship Hall, which has a full commercial kitchen, will be available after the service and as needed throughout the week.

We will have exclusive access to the Parish House, a two story craftsman-style house located behind the Sanctuary. Offices, Rez Kids, Rez Youth, and Rez Nursery, as well as gathering spaces for Parish Orientation, Liturgy Tour, midweek Table Groups, etc. will be located in the Parish House. There are also several outdoor spaces that we can use for fellowship before and after the service.

What about children and youth ministry?

Rez Nursery (6 months to 3 years) and Rez Kids (3 years to 11 years or 5th grade) will be located on the first floor of the Parish House. Rez Youth (middle and high school) will have their own room upstairs on the second floor. As always, children are welcome to remain in the Sanctuary during the service, with their families.

How can I help?

PRAY

We need our whole community to begin praying for the transition into the new space. Ask for God’s continued provision and guidance so that we might steward the space well for the sake of God’s present and coming kingdom.

GIVE

If you made a commitment to give generously to the church, we pray that you would honor that commitment. We believe that God will use this new space to expand our ministry to the current Rez community and to our city. We also hope to be able to reach more people and invite them into a life of following Jesus. Our ability to make this transition and sustain our ministry thereafter, rests on the continued generosity of our community. If you do not have a practice of giving to the church, we hope that you would prayerfully make that commitment now. Commit to giving a percentage of your income to the church at some regular interval. Our church has a practice of giving ten percent of what we receive to other ministries in our city, in the nation, and in the world. Perhaps now is the time to make that same commitment to our church.
