Dear Friends,

We look forward to celebrating the Advent Season together beginning this Sunday. The word Advent means "coming" or "arrival." In the season of Advent, we prepare for Christ's Second coming while also getting ready to celebrate Christ's first coming at Christmas. 

Christmas is coming soon. We'll all have lots of things to prepare, but what about our spiritual preparation? What would it look like for us toprepare him roomin our lives?  
Our Advent theme this year is "With Joy." During this season of Advent, we invite you into a season of joyful preparation and expectancy. The Church prepares for Christmas with Advent in a similar way to how she prepares for Easter with Lent. We aren’t ready to celebrate the birth of a savior until we have spent time preparing our hearts, lives, and community to receive our Savior. 

Waiting in expectation means spiritual introspection and inner preparation. There are many resources available to assist our formation in this season of Advent. We have noted some of them below.
